Our foundations of rest, hospitality, and relationship flow organically into the heart of our community cafe centre. Through creating a safe place for people to come, connect, and retreat - we want to facilitate a space of rest, joy, and relationship with each other and God the creator. Drawing people together from all spheres of life, combating loneliness, isolation, and exhaustion by fostering community and companionship.

Our Vision, Prayers, & Needs
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

When the Otaru Base was created there was a clear heart for rest, hospitality, and relationship - and a calling to build into Café ministry. Although this ministry is only just beginning, we are excited for what God wants to do through this space and in this community.
Prayers & Needs
Equipment: We are praying that God provides long term equipment for this ministry such as a coffee machine and our own crockery for the café.
People: We are praying that God continues to provide long term staff to come alongside us and build into this ministry.
Community: We are praying for the community around us, that we would shine the light of Jesus to them and create a safe place for them to come.
Building: Currently we able to use a house space through the partnership with CASA, another ministry located in Otaru/Sapporo. We are thankful that God has provided this space for us, however we pray that he provides our own space and base in the right timing.
